Cocula Mexican Grill in Columbus

Service was questionable our waitress barely spoke English and didn't know the menu.Their windows are plywood. I asked for no fixinns and my plate was loaded with them. Mgr said they were confused. Not a place I would recommend unless you like mediocre food and service.

God awful!!! Waitress was nice but the food was anything but!! I ordered the cheese enchiladas and had to send them back. How do you mess up cheese enchiladas??? Their choices in spices were not good. The cook must have a heavy hand because it tasted like they put a ton of cumin or some other spice like that in it that didn't belong.

Our server was rude. The food was worthy of a 4 star rating. Very authentic tacos and fajitas. It was just like authentic street tacos I've had made fresh in the past. I've already recommended the restaurant to several who travel a similar route as myself several times a month. We will be back and hope for a different server.

Very nice authentic Mexican food with a diverse selection of dishes. Various beers & margaritas! The service was very good during a busy time.. The el norte was awesome!

Stopped by for take-out. As usual, the service was fast, the food was hot and tasty and the staff is just as nice as can be. Dining in or take out is always a pleasure.

Unexpectedly awesome! Great food, not expensive , flavors of the meat is so well seasoned and cooked. The dips are amazing. The bean dip is might be spicy for most and the cheese dip is great. My favorite was the taste of the shredded beef. I have never had this type of seasoning in Mexican style shredded beef. Had a hint of maybe peppercorns like corned beef it was so good though. If I’m ever back this way I will be stopping in. Give it a shot.

Service was ehhh ok. Food was absolutely TERRIBLE. Worst Mexican food I've ever had. Cheese dip was watered down and looked curdled? My meal came with very little meat and was very tough and gristled. Vegetables were overcooked and mushy. Order was incorrect and the waitress blamed it on my father saying he must have looked at a different menu item. Would not recommend.

Food was gross, im almost positive the shredded chicken came out of a can and the rice was out of a box. Service was somewhat rude with side comments about our food like " thats a lot of explaining to do ", never refilled our drinks and we were not served with a smile. Do not suggest eating here

Order from work often for pick-up. DELICIOUS!!! Weren't able to get anyone to answer the phone for the last few weeks during the shut-down , so didn't order--longest weeks of our lives!!!

The servers are very respectful and nice. They also always make sure your needs are meet with care and in a timely manner. The owner is very respectful and nice and makes sure his customers are taken care of properly and in a timely manner as well. The food is also very good to eat and they have all kinds of food for adults and children as well as drinks for adults and children. I rated it 5 out of 5 cause it is a very great environment to be apart of. Thank you coculas for being a great restaurant.

Food was very good but service left alot to be desired. Don't know if they were just short handed that day or if they understaffed on a regular basis. For example drinks and chips took longer than it should to be refilled,one drink was wrong and the right one didn't show up till halfway through the meal and had to wait longer than we should've to receive the check. The food was really good though and the salsa bar was definitely a plus and I would go back but the restaurant was crowded and people were waiting to be seated. The waitstaff were working as hard as they could but they could only do so much at one time. I would've given another star or maybe a star and half if the service had been better.

It was ok. QUICK service. Pico de Gallo was NOT fresh at all. My son's and husband's ground beef tasted weird and watered down. Not authentic at all. Cool music

Salsa bar is awesome, bean dip is superb. Service is quick and food comes out quicker than most sit down restaurants. Anyone local knows that there is a rivalry between which of the Mexican restaurants are better in this town. This is my pick hands down.

It was okay. Service was not bad, spice pallette was a bit different than I'm used to. Restaurant was clean, and we were greeted nicely upon entering. Might just be a matter of preference for me.

Arrived on a Friday night and our group of 4 were quickly seated. All 4 folks enjoyed their dishes, and service was quick. We'll be back

Lovely little place the food is supreme and the people are so nice

Old meat, tasted freezer burned. Really good for having stinky gas lol. Cheap branded tortillas that basically come out half cooked. Everything tastes like it's been in the fridge. No fresh garlic cooked with the meats, beans, or anything for the matter. True authentic Mexican food must have garlic. If you don't know that, then you are doing it wrong.To top it off, my co-workers and I had a cockroach crawl literally 2 feet in front of our plates while we were eating at the bar. To top that, there was another cockroach crawling through the liquor shelves while were there. 2 stars for at least having cold beers.

Food is ok at best. Server barely paid us any attention when the restaurant was literally empty. They started putting away their salsa bar an hour and a half before closing. Bathroom was pretty gross and impossible not to get shows wet.

The first time I went there was a hair in my tacos salad. It was extremely gross considering it was in the center of it all, not even on top. The second time I went the service was ok. My drink never got refilled even when it was empty and there were black specks at the bottom of my drink. My boyfriend even had to remove a hair from his menu. A little bit after leaving the restaurant me and my boyfriend both felt sick from the food. I have no idea how the restaurant has hygenic enough standards to stay open.

The service is absolutely horrendous. We went twice, giving them a second chance, the service was just as bad when they were practically empty. Paid $14 for a fajita that was full of pineapple and not much else except for clearly frozen shrimp that tasted freezer burned. Apparently, getting more chips isn't happening either.I do not recommend this place. The service ruined the whole experience and it was the same busy or not.

Love their hot sauce so much i drove from Virginia beach to get some.

We are so lucky to have this great Mexican restaurant near us. We love Mexican food and this does not disappoint. There are too many things on the menu for me to say exactly what my favorite is I but I last had the fajita taco salad, YUM! and right now that’s my favorite.. At Christmas time we took my brother and his wife here to eat; in fact every time they come they request to eat here. Karen is a lover of Mexican food also and they are from Philadelphia. This place is so clean which is a real high expectation for me. The staff are all so sweet and make you feel right at home. I hope they’re here for always.
